Hi there BEAMheads!
Im a noob at all this BEAM stuff and have just put together my first FLED solar engine...
However, the strange thing is this...
When the motor leads are "touched into position, the engine works fine...
When I solder the leads in place, nothing happens...
I am ripping all my hair out trying to work out what the frig is going on.
Is there someone out there that could potentially help me sort this one out without too much "im better than you cause I know all the technical terms for everything"...???
Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay in replying... as you may have seen I have not been on the sote for AGES!!
From what you are saying there could only be an issue with the soldering contact. Do you have a multimeter with which you can test for continuity??
If not, you could build a continuity tester with an LED, battery and resistor. Leave a gap in the circuit to create two testing probes, kinda like having a switch, if the solder contact is good on your FLED engine, then the LED should light when you attach your new probes.
Let me know
